Fundraising Events

Up and coming tour fundraiser events:

~ Sunday 3rd June – Rounders’ Day - family fun day with bbq and more
~ Saturday 30th June – Smite Tournament - Tickets for the event are £10 per player. Players get a burger/hotdog/veggie option and a glass of Pimms included in the price. Children’s games and more
~ Golf Day – Early September Date tbc - We will be doing a corporate golf day at Naunton Downs Gold Club in early September. Cost tbc
~ Friday 5th October - Race Night at Cheltenham Racecourse – Details to follow

Day 1:
Friday 24th May
Check in @ 05:30 and depart Heathrow Airport @ 08:30 for your ten hour flight with Continental Airlines. Arrive in Houston Airport @ 12:30
Clear immigration and transfer to lounge for onward flight to San Antonio.
Depart Houston @ 14:45 Arrive San Antonio @ 15:50
Coach transfer at 16:30 from San Antonio Airport to Hotel. Check-in Drury Riverwalk San Antonio

Evening drinks in hotel upon arrival (17:30-19:00) – included (3 x alcoholic beverages per person PLUS hot buffet).

DAY 2
Saturday 25th May
Breakfast served in hotel for your group - included in your tour package.
FREE morning to acclimatise and enjoy the Riverwalk, Alamo and other city features.
Evening drinks in hotel upon arrival (17:30-19:00) – included (3 x alcoholic beverages per person PLUS hot buffet). Recommended bar: Teamlink Sports Tours will use personal connections to get Old Patesians RFC on the guest list at Cowboys San Antonio, a huge nightclub 20 minutes outside town. The evening will feature a live rodeo, line dancing and a mechanical bull! Taxis required to / from venue.
DAY 3
Sunday 26th May
Breakfast served in hotel for your group - included in your tour package. PM: Match 1 v San Antonio RFC followed by post-match barbeque with opposition. Whilst San Antonio RFC do not have a clubhouse, Orlando and his team will host you for an afternoon in a local park whereby the families all bring along food and drink for the communal BBQ. This is a service unique to Teamlink Sports Tours as we play this fixture annually against SARFC on the same day – Memorial Day weekend – in what’s known as the Teamlink Trophy. Past winners include Bedlinog RFC (2010). Corus RFC (2009) and Tonmawr RFC (2008). The remainder of the evening is spent drinking Hurricanes in Pat O’Brien’s Irish Bar on the Riverwalk!
DAY 4
Monday 27th May
(Bank Holiday)
Breakfast served in hotel for your group - included in your tour package. Excursion options:
  • Golf; 45 courses within a 15 mile drive of downtown San Antonio
  • Minor league baseball: for $50pp, rent your own veranda in a deal that includes match tickets, free bar and all you can eat buffet
  • Schlitterbahn Water Park
DAY 5
Tuesday 28th May
Breakfast served in hotel for your group - included in your tour package.
09:00: Check-out of Drury Riverwalk San Antonio. 09:30: Load coaches for Austin 10:00h
Transfer to Austin mid-morning.
A stop at San Marcos Outlet Malls has been scheduled for this afternoon to coincide with lunch. Voted the “Third-Best Place to Shop in the World” by ABC’s The View, Prime Outlets – San Marcos is the largest outlet shopping destination in Texas and the third-largest in the world. This spectacular shopping mecca is also one of the top most visited tourist attractions in Texas, with 140 luxury and brand-name outlet stores including Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Neiman Marcus Last Call Clearance Center, Gucci, FENDI and more—all offering savings of up to 65%.

DAY 6
Wednesday 29th
Breakfast not included Match 2 v Austin RFC
Post match hospitality with your hosts. Austin RFC play to a respectable level, fielding a number of international players at their out of town clubhouse – a perfect haven for parties that start early and stay late! Going on past hosting performances, the boys will struggle to walk in a straight line after such an occasion. Touring teams always get well looked after in Austin!
DAY 7
Thursday 30th May
Breakfast not included Excursion: Tubing! Meet at 10:00h in reception for a day’s activity. Float along the river in rubber tubes, enjoying the sunshine whilst you sip on ice cold beers that are towed a few metres behind you in a separate ‘cooler tube’
DAY 8
Friday 31st May
Breakfast not included Final day on tour. End of tour meal?
DAY 9 Saturday 1st June Check out 09:00h and transfer to Austin Airport Check in for your Continental Airlines flight to Heathrow via Houston at 13:30. DAY 10 Sunday 2nd June 2013: Flight arrives into Heathrow at 07:40. Collect baggage and clear immigration. End of arrangements.
