Presidents Welcome It is my great pleasure as President of the Old Patesians RFC once again to welcome players, supporters, coaches, sponsors, officials and opponents to the 2010-11 season. We start the season with great optimism after our success of last season, which so nearly culminated in promotion. We've got lots to build on, and a new and experienced coaching team to guide us. As always, a huge amount of work has gone into preparing for the new season, both on and off the field. Let's hope the efforts of everyone involved are repaid by some successful and enjoyable rugby. Our fixture list contains a mixture of familiar and new opponents, teams that will have travelled far to be our guests and others who won't have had to cross the Gloucestershire border in order to be here. We welcome you all. We open the season with a mouth-watering local derby, which I am sure will be competitive for players and supporters alike. We aim to ensure that our hospitality off the pitch is equal to the warmth of our welcome on it. Our players represent the Old Patesians with enthusiasm, effort and a great spirit, and maintain the best traditions of our club on and off the field.
