What a night! Stunning location, beautifully decorated, good food, great band, and the singing waiters were something else!

The wrong type of bottleneck at the bar and the weather failed to dampen spirits as the majority partied on well beyond midnight.

Our 164 guests were looked after by a surprisingly attentive team of waiters from the Old Pats U16’s from which two extra special waiters emerged belting out Nessun Dorma, followed By That’s Amore which was met by a standing ovation! Jason and Claire then treated us to several hilarious audience participation numbers including Mama Mia and Mustang Sally which involved the self nominated loudest guest on each table to stand at the front and sing and dance.

The show ended with every guest up on the dancefloor singing along to Sweet Caroline and in a group circle for the finale New York New York.

Following two rounds of the popular heads and tales game compared by Club Chairman – Matt Cape, local band Masterplan got everyone back on their feet belting out an amazing range of perfectly performed covers.

We’re already hearing from so many guests that 2022 was the best Summer Ball ever so we’d like to take this opportunity to thank this year’s ball committee – Gemma Fletcher, Lucy Hamilton, Alistair Armstrong and Laurence Hale for organising another belter of an Old Pats event.
