Old Pats U10s v Dursley
Like Paris, this match was a titan arm wrestle between two teams very much on top of their games.
Welcome to the U11s! After a wonderful start to our rugby journey last year, we’re going again. But this time with more rules, and more fun!!
Head Coach Dave Parry heads up the volunteer coaching team made up of parents from this age group, leading the children through their development with the key focus being on fun, safety and teamwork. Rugby is a fantastic sport, and we hope to show just how fun it can be when approached with positivity and commitment from both players and parents alike.
We start the season with 9 coaches and around 45 players. All volunteering the time and experience to deliver as much fun and development as possible. VOLUNTEERS always welcome though and always needed, no matter how much or little time you can offer. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Our ethos is based on inclusivity; where every player will be given equal opportunity to develop their rugby skills at a pace that suits them, regardless of experience or ability.
Match teams are NOT selected on ability but on attitude and commitment. We hope to run 4 team groups for the season, all of the same level, and all of mixed abilities.
The squads train and play their home matches at The Park playing fields, Cheltenham. Training is generally between 09.30 and 10.45 every Sunday, unless we have matches when the times may vary. And of course, away fixtures will be something we all look forward to once our fixtures kick off at the end of September.
All training and match day information is communicated to parents and carers via our Teamo management app – details of which will be shared once registration is complete.
Please get in touch via the contact form if you would like your son or daughter to join the Old Pats U11’s

Our Club Ethos, based around the RFU core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship (TREDS), is at the very heart of everything we do.
We are committed to developing the confidence and self-belief of every player from the U9’s to the Seniors by providing them with the opportunities, encouragement and support they need to enjoy their rugby to the full and fulfil their potential as a player and a teammate.
To this end, the rugby environment we create for our young players, irrespective of ability or experience must be safe, fun, and inclusive.
Old Pats is committed to mixed ability sides offering equal opportunity for all as players develop skills at different ages. Investing in all our players, rather than a select few, results in players, parents, teams, and the club as a whole benefiting in the long term.
