I’m Gareth Morris, an accountant and rugby lover.
I have two children who each joined Old Pats at U9 and as a result I’ve been standing on touchlines since 2014.
After a year of simply watching the wonder that is a junior team emerge from a bunch of 8 and 9 year olds I volunteered to take on the role of youth registrar (membership secretary / general administrator). I thought it may be a competitive application but as the only volunteer I got the job!
My role ensures that every player on a pitch is properly registered as an Old Pat and that the club and the RFU know how many juniors we have playing across our age-groups. I link up closely with each age-group manager to help them keep track of their players and support them in registering, renewing and collecting subscriptions from parents.
