I joined Old Pats in 1990 after playing rugby for the first time in 10 years for the team organised by the Chelsea Building Society.

In the 25 years i played for the lower teams from the Vets, the 6ths, 5ths 4ths and 3rds, and made two appearances from the bench for the 2nds. Playing for the 3rds and 2nds reinforced that the lower teams were my home !!

I have had the good fortune to be Chairman, Vice Chairman, Fixtures Secretary, Treasure and Kit Man. Trips to Paragon Laundry with six sets of wet muddy kit in a Vauxhall Nova on a Monday morning were fun.

It’s great to start playing again this season after the Covid layoff. See you all pitch side.
