Weathering the Storm
The Colts withstood another weekend battering by the weather and a talented Cirencester outfit, this time emerging victorious with a bonus point to boot.
The Old Pats RFC Juniors is one of the largest junior sections in the south west of England. We have over 360 active players across the mini and youth sections.
We run squads across the junior rugby age group ranges, from Mini rugby (U9 to U12) and Youth rugby (U13 through to Colts (U17 & 18 year olds)).
Below the U9 age group we work closely with Tag Trojans who are based at the Old Pats and develop players so that they are ready to progress to the U9 age group.
We currently train and play at 5 fantastic locations within two miles of our Everest Road clubhouse.
The Old Patesians Junior section exists to encourage children and young adults to develop as rugby and team players throughout their time with us.
Our aim is that they maintain their participation in the sport throughout their junior years and progress to our senior section. To this end, the rugby environment we create for our young players must be safe, fun and inclusive. We welcome players of all standards, irrespective of ability or experience.
Our Club Ethos, based around the RFU core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline & Sportsmanship (TREDS), is at the very heart of everything we think and do to make this happen.
Welcome to the Old Pats Juniors. We are proud of our tradition of welcoming all players of all ages to the club and developing them not only as players but members of our community throughout their time at the club. We hope they will then join our seniors sections, and who knows, sometimes beyond!
We have over 360 active players in our section along with over one hundred adult volunteers.
We will coach your players in a safe and fun environment, ensuring that their commitment and efforts are recognised and that ALL players are included in training and matches. We are supporters of the RFU’s “Half a Game” programme.
I look forward to welcoming you and your players to the club and watching them develop as part of a great team.
