The Old Pats is a community based club with the Senior 1st XV competing in Level six of the rugby pyramid, the Premiership is at level 1

The Old Pats is the highest placed league club in Cheltenham, an honour we don’t take lightly and it offers the opportunity for the junior players to move to the adult game and aspire to playing a level of rugby, with coaching, that will both challenge them and continue their development.

We are very proud that each week over 50% of the First and Second Team squads comprise players who have come up throught the Old Pat’s Junior squads and continue to play with their mates for their club.

Remaining competitive and successful at level six is challenging let alone the dedication required to achieve promotion.

One of the main challenges we face is attracting and retaining players with the right attitude and the desire to develop when others clubs at similar levels are willing to offer financial incentives to play for them.

The environment we create and the ethos of the club helps us to overcome these challenges however, the generosity in the form of player sponsorship, of our members and the wider Old Pats comunity including local businesses is greatly appreciated. Player sponsorship means that senior players do not have to pay for their club membership, play to play and pay for their off-field kit.

The cost of player sponsorship is £225.00 + VAT
