The U10s were very excited to head off on their first ever rugby tour. They were each given a tour hoodie thanks to PBT Installations. The coach journey was full of singing and games.
Once we arrived in Croyde, all 72 of us went to the beach for a fish & chip lunch and to play lots of games including rugby rounders where the players beat the parents! Lots of players and parents even went swimming and body boarding in the sea.
The poor lifeguard in the swimming pool had a busy time when most of the children went for a pre-dinner swim at the same time.
In the evening we all dressed in our Hawaiian shirts to celebrate the U10s achievements throughout the year – we had awards for all 3 teams for the Most Improved Player, Best Attitude, Best Trainer, and Players’ Player of the year. This was then followed by a brilliant Kangaroo Court session.
On Sunday we played some variations of rugby in the morning including rugby tennis.
This tour has been a fantastic experience for the players, and they have made lots of new friends and become a strongly bonded group. We are really looking forwards to next season.
