Some strong rugby on both sides, with Tigers taking the edge

Last Sunday we visited Cheltenham Tigers at Newlands Road, with the privilege of playing on their artificial pitch.

Tigers put out two teams to face our three, and so 6 smaller games were played.

It was very evenly matched, with low scoring games, brought about by strong defensive efforts on both sides –

it’s interesting to watch how the physicality has developed since U9, now that tackling is a primary focus and is building in confidence.

We think Tigers took the edge on tries across the games, so looking forward to the return fixture later on in the season.
